L'Origine
Acrylic and mixed technique on canvas, 113x113cm
L’Origine (2011) is an acrylic and mixed technique created on board, in which Bruna Rapetti represents a solar disk at the center of an expanding universe.
The evocative force of the subject is emphasized by the chromatic power that symbolically expresses the origin of cosmic life through the centrifugal force of a star caught in its spatial becoming. Colours and matter condense into formal agglomerations that take shape and substance as the gaze moves through the defined space.
The circular element, placed right at the center of the work, conceptually refers to a hypothetical center in which man is allusively excluded to reappear in potency elsewhere: a sort of metaphysical ‘here and now’ in which the initial intellectual realism is rationally faced, referring to structural and educational schemes that constitute the unconscious aspect of the artist herself.

Mystical Mountain on the Golden Lake
Acrylic and mixed technique on canvas and board, 50x50cm
The acrylic and mixed technique on canvas and board “Mystical Mountain on the Golden Lake” (2015) is a poem not written but painted. Often contemporary artistic creation sets aside simplicity in the name of ostentatious refinement. Not in this case, fortunately. Bruna Rapetti simply praises this landscape glimpse in which a horizontal line cuts the starry sky in two and its reflection in the lower part of the work-landscape; even the frame becomes an integral part of this enchanted amulet. The swirling stars teem in the firmament, while the placid Earth seems to witness such splendor. Yet it reacts: it extrapolates the hues, consolidates the forms, chains to its powerful gravity the colors, the reflections, the shadows. The result of such an organic palette is the mirror of light from which the soul rises and the surrounding environment seems to be reabsorbed.

...Longing for the Sea! Material Sensorialism
Acrylic and palette knife on canvas, 60x70cm
The material sense of Bruna Rapetti has been carried forward independently of the concept of figuration traditionally understood. The emotional contribution with the contingent has transformed its manifestation into something new, intimate, instinctive: sensorialism.
Here are the boats sliding on the surface of the seas and moving among the waves of the wind: realistic illusion through which Rapetti pushes the intimate sense of the elements to extreme consequences, through which she activates color as a material vector through which she grasps the state of things. The intimate nature that that material, the memory and the profound sense of that real circumstance induces creation to become, allowing the user to relive experiences deposited in memory by bringing them to the surface. Thus each will read them according to their own state.

Anna: The Wind of Impermanence
Acrylic on canvas, 70x90cm
The “making art” of Bruna Rapetti preserves a strong charge of “sparkling and optimistic atmosphere”. From the canvases, thin shining veins act as a musical staff, for a frequent “chromatic song”, positive and full of hope. These aspects are also detectable when she deals with difficult and painful themes, such as the loss of a loved one. In the work “Ad Anna: il vento dell’impermanenza”. The golden reflections become a “commemorative sign” of the dear friend lost by the artist, imbued with spiritual considerations. The solemn golden tonality is Anna, her energy which, free from matter, marries the energies of the cosmos. White, red, black, turquoise are speckled and slightly shaded. There are no particular shadow zones; the visual register aims to exalt all colors with maximum density.
It is the triumph of tonalities, interpreted as vitalizing. The chromatic rhythm makes the melancholy of loss succumb, replacing it with the infinite joy of life that changes and transforms.
All of Bruna’s works are divided by a free and careful informal painting, where among the colors, the use of materials such as plaster and cement often also emerges. In this very condition of absolute pictorial freedom.
